    What is the best AMD processor i can get for 250$ ???

    Umm the best AMD CPU you can get for a desktop board is the Phenom 9950 costs £120-130 in the UK so that should be no where near the $250 mark.

    Depends on what your doing and if your currrent CPU is overclocked or not?

    Gaming wise 2.4-2.5GHZ is about the point where most people become GPU bound rather than CPU bound with quads and duels playing similarly, and for other applications like video encoding the quad will be more than twice as fast as the duel (2x the cores and faster clock speed). For web browsing watching media the will be a small difference but on the whole not a lot.
