    DRAM frequency

Just completed the build of my new system, and all seems good so far

    Formatting a 650G HD takes a while

Ran cpuid just to see if everything appeared as I think it ought to and noticed that the memory in quantity was fine, but that CPUID reports:

    Max bandwidth: PC2-6400(400Mhz)
    DRAM frequency: 532.8Mhz

CPUID reports the correct Corsair part number as PC2-8500 (1066).

Also took a nervous look in the bios and under DRAM frequency it has it as DDR2 running at 667Mhz.

So whats going on? Has BIOS incorrectly identified the memory speed?

Can I just go to relevent bios section and manually set it to DDR2 1066MHz? Do I have to adjust anything else or is that all to do?

    All help appreciated.

    Alan.

    Re: DRAM frequency

    DRAM Frequency 532.8 = DDR2-1066

Not sure why your BIOS is showing 667 though.
