Might not help him but gives me a damn good chuckle

The setup you specced is a decent mid range one. Obviously gotta compromise as it's both GPU and CPU but it's still good

    Re: Water cooling

Yeah, well, I wasnt going to reccomend the best, as then it would be unreasonable, considering its his first foray into watercooling, and he probs doesnt want to blow too much money on it,
However, what would you reccomend for a higher performance setup?
    Thermochill/Feser rads?
    EK SUpreme/Fuzion V2/ Apogee GTZ?

I know I know, wasn't jabbing at the spec either

For a performance setup I'd go for the Laing/Swiftech Pumps (DDC if you're lacking on space or dual loops, D5 for powerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!), Thermochill Rads (Feser ones are just overpriced) and yes the Supreme, Fuzion V2 or GTZ by Swiftech. Whichever you like. You could even get a Swiftech MCR QP rads as they match the Thermochills up with slightly higher speed fans. As for GPU blocks it's really a what you fancy choice. There really aren't any reviews on them which show which one beats what you know. So there it is

I know you werent, i was merely wondering what you opinion was ont he performance side, but I can see that you think ony of the three blocks are good enough, and that the feser are overpriced, (then again, in my opinion, so are ther thermochill, )

    Re: Water cooling

I'm thinking of watercooling my Cosmos S (Q6600 + GPU + motherboard). Budgeting around £200-300 for the whole setup, what would you guys recommend? I have an mCubed t-balancer already, so that should prove useful? I like the look of the Aquacomputer stuff, it it all just good looks though or does it perform well also?

To the OP, hope I haven't hijacked the thread, might still be useful info for you

But what other cheaper chunky rads are there
The large space fins on the TC make it good for low rpm/noise fans to cool it down.
    All about preference I suppose

t-Balancer will help you if you want to make the fans automatic, really cool things

I'd recommend like the above, you'll just have to change them depending on what case you get. For your CPU block a GTZ would be the best cooling, but is the £10 extra over a Supreme worth it for that 2-3c cooling. The D-Tek has risen up though past the GTZ so it's just between those two. For the GPU you can do like Webby did and use a Universal GPU block incase you plan to upgrade the GPU alot. Mobo not sure on the blocks. Those are another area where there is no competition based on how good each competitors blocks cool. Just purchased on looks or price there.

Some people like to slam the Aqua Computer stuff but the Double Impact actually performs decently in a simple loop (as it's highly restrictive). Here's a reliable review comparing the top blocks for comparison: http://www.martinsliquidlab.com/D-Te...V2-Review.html. I use the Double Impact (mainly because the Fuzion V2 wasn't in stock at the time) and I'm happy with the looks and performance .
