What is the best non silver thermal compound currently??

Getting some of this Gelid stuff soon. Finally available in the UK at ChilledPC after ages of begging

I tried the Noctua compound but there seems to be not much drop in temperatures when compared to the Zalman grease. The problem is the NT-H1 is quite thick and hard to apply whereas even if the Zalman grease is not as good a formulation you do tend to add less as it is more watery and can be applied with the supplied brush thinly.
