For the extra 4 quid the e-sata port and optical out makes it worth for me personally.

However both motherboards will do the job well!!

    Re: AMD Motherboard Advice

Before coming into stock I was thinking of having a punt on the JW extreme, seems a few graphics/bios bugs still to be ironed out

    Re: AMD Motherboard Advice

There seems to be an audio bug with the Biostar TA790GX:

    http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=461113

It maybe worth for the OP to just get a cheaper 780G motherboard and buy a cheap graphics card instead:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Asus-...-RAID-uATX-VGA

It supports the latest 125w Phenom II processors too.

An HD4350 is also more powerful as it has twice the stream processors of either an HD3300 or HD3450:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/256MB...Sub-DVI-I-HDTV

It is twice as powerful as the HD3200 in the 780G:

    Re: AMD Motherboard Advice

Nahhhh just get the 780G The chip is a black edition so overclocking can be done all on the multiplier, no need for an overclocking/fancy board.

I'm really happy with both of my current AMD machines, an 5000+ X2 and a phenom 9950.

Not interested in Overclocking. Biostar looks great.
