Yeah I guess, just seems too much like effort to change (for me).
I'll stick with the 9950 until there is something substantially better.

Stock right now so 2.6GHz but it goes nicely to 3.1 Don't really require all that power though, tbh I would have bought a 7750 if had been out and certainly a phenom II now they are. Just they way the cookie crumbled.
well there has been mutterings of dual core Phenom II's, so they will be along soon it seems. all about timing

Not sure about the extra HD4850 as you can get a HD4870 512mb for around £150 to £160 delivered:

Crossfire HD4850's are better than one HD4870 And I still don't like the idea of mix and match crossfire even though it is viable.
The CPU wont change a thing In games at high resolutions, the graphics card will though. The extra core could be used for apps in the back ground though..
Not in all games though:

In the last chart the CPUs were not powerful enough in Farcry2 to make it GPU limited.
Hmmm it's always them and their ruddy cyris.. far cry lol
The dual would still be up to it i'm sure.
Lol yeah I realised and ninja editted..
Not fast enough if seems
Well i got the CPU today it's running at 3.6Ghz with 1.47v 18x multi seems it'll do more but 3.6Ghz will do for now. I've ran prime for 2 hours so I'm going to leave it for a bit longer later.
Seems to be stable
