Have decided to get rid of hte motherboard I'm currently using as its giving me some serious head aches.
I am currently using a Gigabyte M57SLIS4 reviosn 2.0
I installed Windows Vista Home PRemium 64 yesterday, installed all my drivers, activated and updated it, used my PC in that OS for a couple of hours, turned it off and went to bed.
Booted up this morning, saw the Vista loading stripe, then not long after was presented with a blue screen of death !! It read something along the lines of my PC's bios not being ACPI compliant. So I booted back into XP, downloaded the lastest bios and flashed up with that hoping it would cure the problem.
Booted back into Vista, same error message.
I know the board isn't faulty, but I want to be able to use both XP and Vista (for reasons I shall not go into)
However if I can't get the board I've got working reliably with it, I shall have to consider getting something else, and here lies the problem, do any AM2 boards these days not come with on board graphics ?
