Not even manually setting it? Remember if you set the the RAM to be at 800MHz, because it is DDR (Double Data Rate) you will need to FSB at 400MHz.

It might also be called Synchronous or Sync.

    Nope. P5KPL-AM only has 1:2 and 3:5

I see what you mean about the memory dividers on that board, not very extensive. May want to check this out : http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...readid=2279732 .

One of the posters further down got your mobo and the e5200 up to "3.7GHz (296x12.5) at cpu voltage 1.25V+150mV (~1.31V according to OCCT)" . (quoting isosunrise)

Yeah. Mine's stable at 3.5ghz with +50mv. So with +150mv I'm hoping, that with a new cooler, I can hit the magical 4.0ghz.

Re: Hot E5200, new cooler suggestions!

Going to go with the Ultima 90 but I need a fan. A 92mm one was already suggested but surely a 120mm would be better? Any suggestions on a fan for ~£5?

No problems with the 92mm fan for me. A 120 can be used but I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes.

Edit: According to this there is around a 1C difference.
