Hardly surprising - you're using the cheapest Radeon card out there paired with a GPU of similar performance, you're not even approaching the level of £50 graphics cards. Also, the Vista experience index doesn't consider multiple graphics, it will only work off the first GPU, presumably still your integrated - use some real world tests!
if all you do is image manipulation, why would you care about the gaming graphics performance anyway?

As my post noted, I’m not interested in gaming. I don’t understand why your tone is so aggressive; perhaps it has become unrealistic to expect courteous and helpful posts from students. If you don’t want to address a specific question, what is the point of responding to a post? I had thought that Hexus was for grownups, and I’m disappointed to discover otherwise.

I didn't intend to be aggressive in the slightest, I just don't really see what you're trying to do, hence the questions. How is my post not addressing your points? I've clearly stated you need to spend more on a graphics card to get a better aero rating, and that using crossfire actually has no benefit.

The hybridcrossfire and hybrid sli were nice ideas in theory but by the time they came out the gpu's had already moved on a couple of rungs in both performance and idle power consumption.

The only real advantage/good use I've seen for this so far has been on laptops and only a few made use of it.

Yeah, to be honest it's a nice concept, but until the idle power consumption of GPUs approaches zero it has no practical purpose.
