I'm looking for something with a form factor similar to a slab of a4 paper that's just for taking notes with pen input so I don't have to deal with a bunch of real paper.
I'm using it mainly for math.
Any ideas?

The paper that digital destiny pen's costs too much for me (£3-4 for 96 pages) I'd use hundreds of pages every month.
Maybe there's a cheaper alternative ? :>

Something like this.. that works with plain A4 paper. nice..
Why not write on paper, scan it then file it? Probably a lot cheaper in the long run. Alternatively, buy some stiff A4 card and some of that sticky plastic covering stuff, write on it with dry-wipe pens, scan them then wipe them off and reuse them?
Or, if you think your DIY skills are up to it, you could probably buy enough old laptops and components "sold as seen" on your favourite internet auction site to mod up a tablet of some description and run Windows 7 on it (you can get touchscreen overlays in a variety of sizes from virtualvillage.co.uk)...
digital pen+graphics tablet+scanning for now.. eventually i'll pony up for the tablet
