acer travelmate 7510 service manual

Hello,
im looking for a pdf of the acer travelmate 7510 service manual.
the acer website only seems to have the user manual and other sites ive found so far want me to pay for the pdf manual.
btw the problem itself is that the power connector of the laptop got pushed in when the laptop was dropped. so i need to move it back in to place.

Hey,
My friend tripped on the wire and the laptop dropped to the floor.
the connector that is used to connect to the power cable has come off inside the case ( i can hear it moving around) and needs reattaching. i cant seem to remove the keyboard. the manual says i need to carefuly take off the panel at the top but i cant seem to take it off.

It depends how bad it is but I agree, I would only re-use on a temporary basis. One guy brought one for me to fix with a frickin paper clip hanging it which he had been using.. lol

Have you gone to town on the screws underneath? My old sony was a pig, you had to remove all screws and then a hidden screw under the keyboard itself.. There are also litte flaps which look like blanks on the keyboard (on some) which need to be raised and can reveal further screws if you're really unlucky.

the manual doesnt say tell me to undo any screws to remove the keyboard lol. it just says take out three keys which are F1,F7 and the star next to the minus key. then you push the three tabs in which i have done. then the other part just says carefully lift up the main panel at the top which has the power button on it. i cant seem to life up that panel. since the manual doesnt say remove any screws i assume i dont need to. i had some screws out earlier but didnt seem to make any difference.

any tips for taking off that panel?

have a look at yours b4 you commit to buy, theres only about 3 for the travelmate range and considering the ac power pack fits both its a safe bet.

but check the legs look the same 1st, metal shield can be removed and you will need solder braid or a pump to get it off.
