i have a 2500+ 45c idle, about 48c load, 32c motherboard. Most people in here seem to overclock while i preffer silence. The above temperatures are while all my fans are on, i get 58 idle when i put all my fans on low speed, totally silent though.

I have to concur with one of the previous statements, as long as your comp is running fine and not overheating, leave it be.

well just looked at HWmonitor again for my dfi infinity and now reportss between 25-30 idle, but this is using the hex editor trick thing to lower idle temps, could this be right? any other way of checking as tried mbm5 and says i am at 125! i touch the hs and cant feel hardly any heat - the volcanoe 12 extreme is an amazing heatsink

    what's your temps?

Hi all, I just managed to lower my temps today by cleaning the cpu hsf, see sig:
It was starting to become a little unstable. But temps were about 6-7 degrees higher than in my sig.

ok, no pic as yet, sorry
