It says it on the product page:

    http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=3097

    This is the paragraph:

    "EC AOD-ACC Support
EC AOD-ACC is described as Embedded Controller for AMD OverDrive- Advanced Clock Calibration, which is the newest feature comes from AMD SB750/ SB710 SouthBridge chip, destined for the AMD Black Edition CPU to be overclocked through AMD OverDrive™ utility further than was previously possible.
    * Please apply sufficient cooling to CPU VRM zone when ACC function is enabled.
    * Please be noticed that GIGABYTE’s product warranty does not cover damages caused by overclocking."

Ah thank you. so VRM zone means mosfets? How do you know what type of mosfet cooler you need? I have had a look on the Thermalright website but it doesnt have the motherboard listed on the compatibility page. Scan the best place to buy these from?

I would probably look at using some of the heatsinks use for cooling the RAM and VRMs on graphics cards and they should be quite easy to mount as they can be stuck onto the MOSFETS:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Zalma...-River-product

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Therm...R-03GT-Coolers

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Therm...or-HR-03RevAV2

You do get dedicated MOSFET coolers on Scan too but they look huge and would probably get in the way. I also believe the designs are more e-peen than actually serving a proper function TBH.

Excellent the ones you posted are cheaper too. Will get some of them ordered asap. I probably wont push the overclock too much as I dont really need it to be honest. I'll probably go for 3.4ghz to start.

Graphics card has been dispatched today so hopefully will come tomorrow or the day after, then my pc should be pretty much silent!

Tempted by a new case as well my centurion 5 is looking a little bit tired.

If the case does the job I would stick with it and look to get better fans to improve the cooling.

Of course you could always get an Antec 300:

    Re: Budget pc advice

Probably more of a sidestep than an upgrade but I've bought the following case on special from scan

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?ProductId=22903

Paid £27. Reasons; old case panels are scratched and slightly warped only has space for 1 x 120mm fan 1x 80mm fan, where the new one has 4 x 120mm fan spaces, also just fancied a change.

I have been using tool less cases for a while so this will be interesting going back but I probably wont be doing too much upgrading now anyway. I will use my old case to put my old computer in and possibly a media centre computer in the future.

Mosfet coolers ordered as well so will hopefully get some decent overclocking done.
