    Keyboard/Mouse Combo's

Parents are a after a new wireless desktop set to replace their range-limited Microsoft Comfort combo they bought a few years back.

Their criteria are a decent sized wrist rest (keyboard), proper range, no cables! and a slight curve to the keyboard without going the whole hog of splitting the main keboard into two sections (neither are touch typists).

Having had a brief nose they were wondering about the standard Microsoft 7000 (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo...e_tab=overview) while I suggested the Logitech Wave Pro (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ke.../4677&cl=gb,en). They certainly like the idea of the rechargable mouse both these offer but does anyone here have experience of either in real use?

Wave Pro has an MX1100R... EPIC mouse. And the keyboard looks pretty decent. Of the two I would recommend the Logitech one. There is a group of me and my friends and we all use MX1100s. Get's confusing.

Only thing I would recommend is if possible get the battery powered version, not the rechargable. A set of two AAs in an MX1100 lasts approximately 150-200 days depending on usage pattern. The rechargeable one has to be charged up almost every night.

Logitech are really good at making their devices last a long time on batteries. What I don't understand is why the rechargable versions they make last for so little (60 days) when compared.
