Re: Looking for a new keyboard

If you want a quality keyboard forget about the mainstream brands like logitech etc. Those so called "gaming" keyboards use membrane buttons which will become "sticky" after several months of use and is no better than a 2 quid keyboard. Go for mechanical keyboards like das keyboard or filco majestouch. They last forever and are a joy to type on. The filco majestouch with cherry brown keyswitches in particular is truly amazing if you can afford to splurge for it.

Re: Looking for a new keyboard

the logitech dinovo edge don't have membrane buttons afaik. they're marketed as kind scissor-key action type buttons, so shouldnt get sticky after awhile. i've used mine for about 2 years now and it feels the same as when i got it new

Re: Looking for a new keyboard

Bought a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 at the end, as my old one was not working anymore.
    So needed a fast replacement.

And it is working fine since then.
Only "problem" I have soa far is, that I think the keys are smaller then on any other keyboard.
When I play CSS for example, I constantly hit the Flashlight key when trying to reload.
That never happened with my old keyboard.

Re: Looking for a new keyboard

I was in interested in that keyboard due to the red backlit keys and the price.

I have small fingers so I guess you're problem is a plus for me.

Could you answer a few questions for me?

How are the red LED lights, do they look nice or are they annoying?

What's the quality like? I don't need to know whether or not it'll survive being thrown across the room but are the buttons nice, are they stiff or are they nice to type on?

How much did you pay and where from?

    Thanks in advance!
