I have just tried that, I tried different sata port and different cable.. still same errror..

hmm my Samsung HD gonna die soon I have made a quick backup.

I bought it from Scan last year, do I have a warranty? Can I replace it right away? (Hmm I cant remember where I put my receipt!!)

What model is it BTW??

Also,if you log in to your Scan account I would check the order number. Samsung have a 39 month warranty:

Make sure you delete any private data(and erase it too) before you RMA the drive though!!

I bought HD from Scan in Bolton, not from the website. I dont think I can check the order number from the website.

I have two HD, other HD appear to work fine without error.

HD model is SAMSUNG HD322HJ

I would have a word with Scan. Perhaps you could post a question in their forum on Hexus.

My Samsung HD321KJ also started having issues. I also have an much older one which seems fine though!!

I replaced it with a Samsung F3 500GB.
