Right guys, bought it today from scan but its stupidly noisey, even with the asus bios update its still too noisy, is there anything else i can do apart from get a refund ? The noise even at idle is loud.

Which drivers are you using?
Use something like GPUZ to to check the current fan speed and temps, what are they?

Thats the boy pob for the mrs dads budget rig.
Its ALOT better now, not using the latest drivers as i read there was issues, using the ones off the supplied driver disc, also using the asus epu 4 utility, when in windows its a nice speed now, it does crack up when playing games but thats to be expected.
Even though its a budget am3/ddr3 machine it certainly has no slouch, plays dirt 2 on 1280x1024 at high with 8xmsaa average 71fps, min 31, certainly playable !

I'm not surprised 1280x1024 is not that much of a workout for the gts250
The latest driver isn't the olny one I've had issues with in the past on my 9800gtx in reference to fan speed not behaving correctly.
I'm running off 195.62 atm which seems to work best for me, no fan issues, no high temp issues and no errors in fallout3
what are the settings you're using btw? and what sort of temps are you getting?
idle and furmark (furmark is one of the best gpu burn tests going, my card never hits as high temps in gmaes as it does with furmark)
