I meant 5!! Must be the lack of sleep!! Anyway, I have made some more suggestions in post 12 and listed a cheaper GTX460 1GB (with caveats) in post 14.

Also Im not going to overclock the Graphics card as when Mercury Playback Engine is utilising the GFX Card for rendering it already runs extremely HOT. And as the card is not officially supported by adobe, and needs unlocking to work, the card is expected to emulate a highend Quadro FX / CX card which is built with durability, temperatures and cooling in mind. It's advised to not overclock the card as it can prove to be unstable and also damage the card as its already fuctioning excessively by emulation a £1500 Workstation card!

VRM means Voltage Regulation Module. These are little components which regulate voltage to the GPU and RAM. It is better to have heatsinks on them to keep them cool especially when overclocking. Overclocking stresses the VRMs more than normal.

Motherboards also have VRMs next to the CPU socket and these regulate voltage to the CPU and system RAM.

I would then go for one of the more expensive GTX460 1GB cards as these will have better cooling. Alternatively go for the slower GTS450 1GB if you want to save money.

Still a massive amout of variables to follow! Anyway, thanks for yor help mate, really appreciate all the help and advice you've given me. I think that GTX460 is steal for the price and so I think thats my card. All that Im left with is whether to go for the 1055T now or the Athlon x4 for the time being and then upgrade to a newer Phenom X6 Black Edition when prices drop a little (and hopefully drop to 95w TDP)

Like I mentioned before perhaps it is worth getting a card with better cooling.

Scan seem to sell the cheaper GTX460 1GB too:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-p...288-cores-hdmi

    It is not overclocked too.

This GTX460 1GB is meant to have a good cooling solution:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-m...2x-dvi-i-mhdmi

This GTS450 comes with the referance cooler which is not too bad:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-e...dl-dvi-i-mhdmi

However,it is pre-overclocked by a large amount which may cause issues if CS5 is very stressful(or not).

This GTS450 1GB comes with the standard clockspeeds but has a decent aftermarket cooler:

The 95W version of the Phenom II X6 1055T is already available:

    However,it lacks a cooler.

But its £15 more and with at least a £20 cooler on top Im not too interested for the price altough I do understand the benefits. I was more so hoping for a Black Edition upgrade 6months later on so (with a reduced TDP simply as a bonus but not a necessity). That would be my reason to go for a Athlon right now for almost half the price and spend that towards something else.

Also How important is the power suppy for stability as you've asked me twice already. Would it not be sufficient if it has more than enough (say 800) watts, and its from a known vendor (Arctic Cooling or something siilar). Anyway I'll let you know in the next few days which PSU it is. Thanks for everything dude. So for now i'll be off (to bed, its far too late).

The PSU is very important for system stability.
