    2.1 Speakers

    Hi,

Looking for some smaller speakers, 2.1 ideally for my bedroom. Just be music and video through my PC.

    Upto £100 say?

I've had some Aego M, Logitech Z2300 or Creative T20s reccomended to me, any good?

    It's 4.98*

    Re: 2.1 Speakers

I posted a similar thread recently (albeit at a lower budget) and didnt get much of a response; had a look around and came across these - lots of people seem to rave about them. I know they're 2.0 but it seems as though you wouldn't need a sub. I'm changing my original budget to get these.

And sorry, I know it's slightly above budget. Check out the next version down too - the AV30s.

Aego M's are the best out of those, but you will need a good sound card to hear it.

    Re: 2.1 Speakers

Personally I'm happy with my Creative T3100's, pretty cheap with enough bass to do my music and movies justice.

    Re: 2.1 Speakers

Will only be using onboard sound at best, so I'm not looking for anything amazing. Just something that does the job and sounds good?

    Re: 2.1 Speakers

t40s are supposed to be good.

    I have these Audioengine a2 speakers http://www.amazon.co.uk/Audioengine-.../dp/B000VKEFN2

, though you can shop around. You won't find a better pair of speakers for the price/size combination and absolutely no need for a sub .

I think the t40s would probably be the best bet, I nearly got the av40 but looked a bit big for my desk, so coughed up the extra and got the audioengines for more compactness.
