Steve, you might wanna buy urself a dremmel and get rid of those grills.... can drop temps by 5C or so, and its def ur temps that arent helping ur overclock.

Had one of my RMA'd stealths turn up today, so that'll go in tomorrow and we'll see how temps go from there. It'll be going back on the side blowing over the 9700. Meant to push 50cfm so hopefully temps will drop, though still waiting for my stealth to come back from overclock. They really did all break...

thanks for the advice mate, im looking at watercooling as a possiblity for later on this summer, should bring the temps down enough to get me up to 2.6.

You mean the one on the CPUcity site? I don't think it's an Applebred(Thoroughbred) core as I've not seen them listed on datasheets so it's probably a POS overclocker

Running 12x200mhz with my 1500+ at 1.75v, Taisol 760092 with 80mm Evercool hits about 52C on load. Will post at 2.6ghz and 1.9v but I haven't dared leave it on for long or even try Windows with it. May try pushing it a bit harder once it's burned in a bit.

They're Morgan (.18) core, so probably no more than about 1.5GHz.

CPU city originally started seling them with a view to having an OCing competition- there's a thread about it in their forums.

Well i have just ordered a jet enhine delta fan to have a play around with

Temps are cpu 56 and system 35 idle at the moment so hopefully the delta should reduce these and allow some further overclocking.
