what q-tec was it ? I haven't had any pobs with my q-tec 550W PFC PSU. Maybe its because its the more expensive PFC version, I got it for £15 anyway
I know q-tec aren't the best, and they dont offer anywhere near their rated wattage, but I don't think they are that bad. It runs my system fine, although I can't really get a stable overclock with it as the rails are too low....
I mean, running a high end system including a pelt off it .. what do you expect ?

Ive connected both of the green wires together so they both turn on at the same time.

Actually, I must say that I had a Q-TEC 400W and never had a problem with it at all (but when this came up last year I sold it on fleabay and bought something better just in case!)
The 550`s are the best of the Q-TEC`s iirc.
