Anyone remember (Agent ) what brand of psu i was defending last week? Well mine has just decided to have random cut outs, it doesn't seem to matter if its on load or not Damn me and my skintness. Any ideas?

I'm sure I speak for everyone on this forum when I say "get a new PSU". Dig out that old generic 300w one. It'll do a better job.

The only 300w generic ones i have either do random reboots or doesnt have the p4 connector. Could i fashion up a p4 connector from a single molex plug or should i take the 2 12v lines from two different molexs?
It's not :gasp: a QTec?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

*ahem* QTEC
Buy a "proper" PSU before that one fails entireley and takes the rest of the PC with it! And before you laugh, i've had 3 PC's in work do that. Even the CDRom and the floppy were 0wnz0r'd into deadness. Luckily they were crap cheap PC's but if youve got an expensive system.....worth the risk for £50 odd?.
Butuz
Trust me i would buy a tagan if i had the cash
How about the CWT/Median/Antec 450 Watt - should be plenty:

35 quid?
It's gotta be better than risking the rest of your rig?

Wont have enough cash till the weekend but hopefully it will hold up till then. I didnt know antec psus were the same as cwt as i had heard some bad things about cwt psus.

Id like to get my hands on a CWT and rip it to pieces to find out what circuity it uses, so i could confirm if it was the same as an Antec or not.Originally Posted by Rythmic
Viewing several other forums, there seems to be a lot of conflicting information.
Even if they are not the same, they seem to be good PSUs from what ive heard
Lol @ Agent
It's not been absolutely confirmed that CWT and Antec are identical - but they seem to offer virtually identical models (both Watts and Amps) and look very, very similar - theres plenty of threads on here regarding this.
