    Computer problems :(

Just tired to turn my comuter on and it just hangs at the post screen. It counts up the memory fine and detects all the drive with no problems, but then it just freezes for about 10 seconds, after that it moves on to another screen where it just says

    Verifying DMI Pool Data..............

    Boot From ATAPI CD-ROM :
    Boot From ATAPI CD-ROM :

Then goes no further I've tried changing the gfx card and also tried both sticks of ram and still the same problem.

Anyone got any ideas, Do I need a new MB?

lol. As far as I can tell your trying to boot from the CD-ROM. Either you have changed the boot sequence in your BIOS, or your motherboard is not detecting your hard disk drives correctly and is therefore moving onto the next option in the boot sequence.

    1.
Make sure you have 'HDD-0' or similar selected as your primary boot device.

    2.
Tell us if your motherboard is detecting your Hard Drives. After the memory check, your BIOS should report what it has found attached to your IDE interface. Is it reporting your hard disk as present?

    3
If so, but the HDD name is garbled, check your jumper settings.

    4
If they are not detected, check the connection of your IDE cables between your motherboard and HDD. Also check your HDD's 5v power cable.

    Report back.

Does it try to boot from the hard drive? Try to remove the optical drives.. then see what it does. Check bios... see what the boot priarity is....

The PC Trash Bandits, they jump out every time you break the seal on a microsoft product, sometimes they can linger and cause damage months after opening the product.

Surly you need to go into the bios to change the boot device order? The last time I went into my bios was well over 6 months ago when I overclocked my CPU :/
