    CPU Cooling

I have owned Abit NF7-S V2.0 mainboard for over a year now and yesterday the whole thing went dead. I was going to replace it with a Abit AN7 and also buy a 7000a zalman cooler but i,m not sure if it will fit on the board. Zalman.com said it is incompatable with the AN7 but when reading a review for the AN7 they used a Zalman 7000a to test it......
So if any on out there has a Zalman 7000a on an Abit AN7 or even a NF-S share your wisdom and let me know how you mounted it!

I managed to mount a zalman 7000cu which i believe is the same shape on an NF7-s although you have to bend one of the mounting arms to get it on and the heatsink is slightly right of centre on the cpu. It still covers all of the CPU core though and gave me very good cooling

I think the shape 7000cu is the same as the 7000a. I have heard the is some bending needed just wasn't sure what. I'll go for the 7000a and if i can't get to fit ill give it back. Thanks!

It's not too hard, you have to be a bit careful though. Just kiss goodbye to ever putting a passive northbridge heatsink on there with that beast attached

Piggy has since fitted it to my NF7-s (still owe him a tenner) and looks mighty fine
