Hmm, not good. Just got an Aureon Fun soundcard off Dabs, and computer boots, try to install drivers, BSOD:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0x08244c8b, 0xf776b2c0, 0x00000000).
is what is left in alerter.
Now a quick google says this is a PSU problem, but the computer crashes on copying files across to system32 on installing.
Is it likely to be a SP2 problem?? Computer hasn't crashed once on me until now, all I have done is put a DVD writer in (which I haven't tried burning with yet, but it reads ok...) and this sound card!
Terratec drivers are 2 years old for goodness sake!
Any ideas/pointers??
Thanks,
Dave
EDIT I have emailed Terratec as well, so hopefully they'll get back to me soon...the whole reason for this is that the on-board sound on my Biostar board (ALC 655) "jitters" randomly when playing stuff! It's really annoying, but at least it plays...kind of ok for 15, 20 seconds then....say a person was singing, its kinda like rubbing their throat really quickly...stuttering almost.
