    PocketPC Needed

Right, this may seem impossible, but here goes

I would like a PocketPC with the new version of Windows Mobile, a VGA (640x480) screen, built in WiFi, and it must be nice and small.

Only thing I can think of is one of the new iPAQs, the one with the camera and ability to act as a universal remote, but I really don't need/want the camera. Plus it doesn't look too great. The Asus A730 looks very nice to me, but it fairly thick, and has a camera.

    What else is out there?

    Thanks

Well the Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox 720 seems to fit that bill almost exactly.

Windows mobile Pocket PC 2003 SE
    480x640 3.6" TFT
    520Mhz Intel Xscale
    128Mb RAM
    802.11b WIFI
    Bluetoot
    Camera
    etc
    etc
    Long battery life
    Weighs 170g
    71x17x121mm
    c £380

Got a very good review in Novembers PC PRO too .

I dunno if it is available in the shops yet though .

The Loox 720 looks very nice. What are Fujitsu Siemens like in terms of quality / support?

Wish I could afford something like that Why do you want it so highly specified Caged?

And I'd still go for an HP one or a Dell, but I dunno if either manufacturers do VGA ones yet.

And I'd sure love WM2003 SE... It's annoyed me and a great number of other people, the fact that HP aren't releasing it as an upgrade

The Axim X30s are very nice machines, but probably a bit bulky for what you want, Caged. As far as FS, they seem to have a very dedicated following; I can speak for the quality of their laptop builds, so unless it's taken a nosedive with their PocketPCs it should be pretty good, and if it wasn't, as noted above, PC Pro would have mentioned it, and not A-Listed it. That said, for the price difference, I'd put up with a tiny bit of extra bulk and get the X30 PAN/LAN 624MHz. But that's just me. For the same money give or take a fiver, I could have that, plus a second battery plus the leather carry case plus a folding keyboard (which I'd personally find handy).

I have absolutely no regrets about buying my Ipaq H2210. Built-in Wi-Fi would be a bonus but the CF card is so small it's hardly an issue

To be honest if something existed like the HP h4150 but with a VGA screen that would be perfect.

Maybe give it a few months, see if anything new comes out?

Still I'd go for the Pocket Loox 720 if I could evenly remotely afford it .
