I looked in the sig FAQ, no rules there, so I asked politely.
Sorry if downloading a whole 25K broke your modem, or the image size busted your screen.

i dont really think thats exactly the attitude we really like here , because in the signature faq there is a bit about the size of the image and you knowing that was to big still went ahead and put it there.

oh come on, use a bit of common sense, if you think about it it's perfectly obvious that you can't have a nearly 800*600 image as your signature..

I've checked again here http://forums.hexus.net/faq.php?faq=...vb_sig_explain and I see nothing about the size of the image.

    Errr... Pot. Kettle. Black!

As nobody will answer my simple question, forget about it.
I see someone has been kind enough to edit my post before I got round to it. Cheers.

Size : - Signatures should have a maximum height of 100 pixels (inclusive of text and graphics). Where graphics are used they should have a maximum width of 500 pixels and a file size of 30Kb or under
Though loads of people are breaking the rules (but not by much usually).

Please note that while the size guides are not a hard and fast rule, we would be grateful if you could keep more or less to these guidelines. Also note that the board Administrators reserve the right to remove any sigatures, with or without prior notice, that fail to conform and will very likely do so for anything deemed offensive.
Yes, I am aware that my sig is currently outside of the filesize guideline, but it is only temporary, i.e. for the duration of this competition only, and it's not blatently enormous.
I'm sure if my sig was causing any problems I would have been notified by the mods.

For the duration of the competition i will not be moaning at people who have siggy's outside the guidelines as the competition is a good bit of fun, and even though im on 33,6 modem at home and it takes bleedin ages to download animated sigs like stoo's, i will put up and shut up until the competition is over

HOWEVER - if any idot that thinks theyre clever creates *massive* animated siggys, or siggys that are massive in terms of height and width, then that sig will be ding dong gone.

When the competition is over, and you put back normal sigs, you'll have to make sure they are within the guidelines or i will smack your bottoms like naughty children.

I'm sure yours is OK. You should always make exceptions for excellence. I'll give you my 30K allocation as it's a worthy cause! He he.

Phew! Things nearly got acryanomious, err acrimonious there.
