    12v/OFF/7v switch

Does anyone know where I can buy ready made versions of these that you can plug either 1, 2 or possibly 3 fans into. Want to see if I can quieten down my system on the cheap for nighttime downloading .

    link you where?

its the first one on that page, the zalman one, although it doesnt say it, on the right of the controller, as you see in the pic there is a toggle switch, google the name for reviews, and youll see its a on/off , and 2 different voltage selecter thingy switches,

overclockers are useless phannies, so they dont point this out

    hope this helps

cheers, I wonder if theres anything that goes in floopy drive bay that does the same thing. Not bothered with all the variable speed adjustment just want to turn off/7v 3 fans when I dont need them at full speed.

    Thanks again.

i got a crapy 3inch bay (floppy bay size) controller off ebay, and all it does is change my 3 pin fans from full to slower (id guess 7v) and it comes in matt blak with blue l.e.d.s or fetching silver...

surely if you replaced some of those fans with the more known silent versions, theyd be practically hush hush, at 7v

but afaik and iirc thres a site that sells exactly what your looking for in the 5.5inch verison, ill rattle my meager pea-brain to remember it

I made a very simple version using a 3 way toggle switch, some wire, my case drive bay cover 3.5", some molex connectors.

    Diagram here

    from http://www.fanbus.com/

Instead of wiring the switch directly to the fan I wired it to a molex splitter cable so two fans could be plugged in to it. No LEDS or other flashy things but worked a treat and cost bugger all.
