I'm in the habit of keeping monitor, motherboard, graphics card and psu boxes (and in that order)
not because of resale, I don't change components that much but for RMA purposes.
At work I also keep a couple of laptop boxes, again for packaging for rma/repair

Normally I would, but given that I did my most recent build in student accommodation it's not going to be possible (I don't have the option of driving home). The case is going into storage along with the monitor - both of these have boxes. I also kept the motherboard and GPU boxes as this is how I'm transporting those bits home for the summer (keeping it light).
I still have boxes from previous builds that I've now sold at home where space isn't an issue. If it came to prioritization I'd go with Monitor and Case, then MoBo and GPU... any others are neither here nor there.
I like to keep the boxes.
However, I'm in the process of clearing our attic and have realised that many of them were probably not worth keeping. So, I think if you keep an eye on what you've got, then it's not so bad.
When I'm working through the decades of accumulated 'We'll just pop that up in the attic for now,' then it really does make me question the wisdom of hanging on to most of them.
I have piles of them I the garage. It's not addiction, but we all have our crosses to bear.
If its small and worth a bit I will keep the box, if not its gone. I used to keep all boxes but took up way too much space.
Yes, though it consumes most of my cupboarb space. They are useful for keeping your stuffs 'HIDDEN'
Only my case box incase I do a major move, probably should have kept the screen one as well.....
Always, always, always, in fact my loft is crammed to the rafters with old boxes from Socket A mobo's to 5 1/2" floppy disk drives. Some of them, the bigger ones like the boxes from cases get filled with other crap, usually smaller boxes like GFX & Mobo boxes
I keep boxes too, it is helpful for selling stuff as the box will help protect products once I have off loaded them on eBay, plus it gives people the impression that the item has been taken care of, which is pretty strange, as the item is generally not stored in the box, it is usually kept attached to the mobo in my case.
^ Yeah I guess it does help make you look like a careful person across the board if you store boxes tidily.. & haven't had them kicking around.. reflects that you might in theory look after your stuff & not misuse things in general.
Keeping the box; yes. And all its associated bits plastic bags polystyrene twist ties.. Not really for resale, mostly for storage if required, when moving, reference, etc.. plus I like them.
Anything with formed plastic I keep. When I clean my PC it usually is done in a limited space and there is a chance of random kids appearing. So If I am pulling it right apart I tend to put parts away for a bit. Hence the formed plastic is perfect for setting it some where safe!
Also keep every anti-static bag!
Yes to my girlfriends disgust. Every box either in my den or the garage. I am trying to get rid of the seriously obsolete ones though. 1 socket A board to go and then I should be on the socket 939 stuff to think about getting rid off.
most of it im sure (prob 95%) there are some boxes that the hardware went ages ago and I just havent found the box since.
