    Faulty Crucial Ballistix?

Okay, guys. I followed ur advise and bought some Crucial Ballistix PC4000 for my LanParty NF3 socket 754. There's where the problem starts!

I first used both DIMMS. Won't pass MemTest. Tried slot 1+3, 1+2 even 2+3. Swapped the memories. Tried again. Won't work!

Okay... How about one DIMM? Aha... Iit seems that one of the DIMMS is faulty. It is not able to complete MemTest without errors. I ran MemTest almost 90 loops, there were errors reported for over 420 times. Even using HTT at 200Mhz (PC4000 running PC3200), the DIMM could not pass MemTest without errors.

The other DIMM, however, passed every test without errors. I am sure I've done both tests exactly the same:

    VDIMM : 2.8V
Somewhat relaxed timings : 2.5-4-4-10 instead of 2.5-4-4-8. Also tested on 2.5-4-4-8.
    HTT : 250Mhz and 200Mhz
    Used all memory slots...

So, I've concluded one of the DIMMS is faulty. Is this the right conclusion? Any suggestions before I RMA it?

Well if its crucial i'd say you are best to just phone them up and ask for them to replace it. Crucial are one of the best in the business for great support when things fail. I've had personal experience of excellent service with Crucial so i doubt you will have any problems. Sounds like you've tried everything, just explain what you've done and i'm sure they will replace the memory without a problem.
