OK I've made a list of stuff to go in my server:

    Asus P4P800-E Deluxe Socket 478 Intel 865PE - Sound G-Lan IEEE1394 USB2 800FBS SATA

    Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz Prescott Skt478 FSB800 1MB Cache

Western Digital Cavier SE 80Gb 7200rpm 8mb Cache Hard Drive - OEM

    Corsair (VS1GB400C3) 1024MB, DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, 184 DIMM, unbuffered, CL3, 64Mx8 DRAMs

Casetek CK-10162A Blue And Beige Atx Case With 350WATT PSU

    Samsung 16x48 IDE DVD-ROM Drive

    Sony OEM 3.5 Floppy Drive

    XFX Geforce Mx4000 64MB DDR AGP8x

This came to £431.52 (UK pounds)

Is this gonna give me good performance as a Counter-Strike 1.6 server? Obviously I'm not bothered about the graphics card, only used a cheap one. Also does anyone know if this stuff will work in Linux? Is there anything there that I have forgotten or is crap?

    I have all peripherals.

    Thanks in advance.

It will be fine for a counter strike server - the hardware is fine......just as long as you have sufficient bandwidth capabilities wherever you choose to locate your server, or you will experience LAG and no one likes that
