    No cm_uk, you're right

I have an IQYHA 2600-m from CPUCity at 2.4ghz [200] but my overclock is being restricted by my motherboard [A7N8X-E Deluxe]

    I also have an XFX 6800GT @ 415/1.15 with an NV5

Softmenu is Abit's BIOS: I did all clocking in the bios, not through Windows. If you look towards the start of the thread I posted a link to CPUCity's forums where the CPUCity guys have got a 1500m up to 2.7ghz post.

I have my AthlonXP2600 running at 2.31 ghz. . Pretty sure I set it to 200*11.5 . Not as mega as the other overclocks and haven't tried pushing it further as not too sure on changing voltages etc etc.. But was my first overclock soo.. wasn't too bad.. just over 400mhz..

But if someone could explain changin voltages that would be good. .as I am not sure what to change them to and what it would achieve as never done it etc.

Basically higher voltage = better stability on same clocks or the ability to get higher clocks.

BUT the huge tradeoff is heat, as voltage increases really do start making temps rise. You should have options in your BIOS to increase the voltage, it might be called VCore.

I'd say the maximum safe voltage for you to run it 24/7 at is 1.8v, but with a mobile chip you shouldn't need to increase the voltage much to see an increase.

Correct any mistakes i have made, people, i dont claim to know everything hope this helps, also

I have 2.42Ghz out of my XP-M 2500+ its a good chip I can get into windows at 2.5Ghz no sweat gets a bit hot though so I prefer to run it a bit lower.

What kind of CPU cooler do you have on it?
