I think both cameras should provide very good image quality - but do you want a huge 2.5" screen or do you want a screen that can rotate round for self-portait photos etc?

Despite the fact sony aren't / weren't a "proper" camera company, they're doing a flipping good job making good digital cameras.

If it were me buying - I think I'd be very happy with either of these cameras (although bear in mind the extra cost in buying a Sony memory stick)
