Possible to run 6800 Ultra on Shuttle SN95G5?

    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Shuttle SN95G5. I've heard that its only possible to fit a GT in the case. From what I see thats correct-->http://img.hexus.net/v2/sff/shuttle/...veroff_big.jpg
I'm well up on case modding and spraying (It's part of my job ), but was wondering if the system/PSU will be up to it with a 6800 Ultra in it?
    My spec would be possibly:-
    Winchester 3500
    1 gig Corsair XMS
    Pioneer 109
    Gainward 6800 Ultra
    Seagate 200 gig Sata
    Hauppauge PVR500.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Thanks

According to a top bod at Shuttle, the SN95 is capable of supporting an FX-53 and a 6800Ultra/800XT PE quite happily.

Therefore, it follows that if you can find an Ultra that will fit in a single slot (or you're gonna cut holes in the shell) that you shouldn't have any probs running this system.

ps: I have an SN95 with a GT running at 400/1100.....and I never have any probs at all with power.

I'll second Jinx. I have a 6800 GT oc and power is not an issue. Period.

    Hi,
Please let me know how it turns out. I would like to eventually put a x850 xt pe in mine, or a r520 when it is released. I want to know it the power supply will handle the drain. And any heat issues. Let us know of your trials and tribulations. I want to find the best pci-E card for my system. I also have the othe rpci slot filled with the soundblaster, so I wonder if any nvidea cards will even fit.

I'd suggest you get yourself a spare case to mod. That way if you have to RMA the machine, you can swap back in the good case and there'll be no questions.
