    Thunderbird in a new mobo.

    Hi

    Ive got an old Athlon 1.2GHz lying around so what would happen if I put my old Thunderbird into a mobo like this?

    http://msicomputer.co.uk/Products.as...3423&cat_id=77

    Its says it would support it but would it work with DDR memory as this processor was using SDR.

    Interesting. Anyone ever done anything like this?

    Memory controller is on the board and not on CPU like A64s, therefore the CPU will work fine in that board

    It supports FSB266 CPUs so it'll work fine.

    Will the dual channel memory controller work?

    also what do you think the graphics card limitation would be on this cpu? something like a geforce 4?

    Dual channel should work, as for graphics slap whatever you like in, but if you get much higher than a GeForce FX/Radeon 9800 you probably won't be seeing the benefit.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
