I've seen an image saying 'from £239' for a 3050 (before scalping etc), ignoring the fact we don't exactly know how it performs doors that seem 'reasonable'? (in current times, not historically!)
Is it expected to be ~1080 performance?

Hmm yeah, hopefully DLSS will make the difference up :/
So my day one release Sapphire rx480 8gb Nitro+ can clock above an rx580 (just using autoOC in the driver) and the rx580 is roughly the same speed as this card. Does this mean I have a 5 year old next gen card then? Definitely confirms my belief there is no point in replace it yet. The GPU market is just stupid.
If the 3050 does come with 8Gb then its a winner all round, even more so if that £239 is accurate..
3050 compared to the 6500XT here in 3DMark

3050 is basically a slightly slower 1660Ti with DLSS/RT
The proper replacement for that is the RX6600XT:

Similar sized GPU,although a cheaper memory subsystem and like most sub £400 VRAM stagnation. Although you could argue the RX6700XT is also a proper replacement too.
Le sigh!
