    Re: RX6500XT 4GB launching tommorrow at 2pm for £180~£200

I've seen an image saying 'from £239' for a 3050 (before scalping etc), ignoring the fact we don't exactly know how it performs doors that seem 'reasonable'? (in current times, not historically!)
Is it expected to be ~1080 performance?

Hard to say but isnt' the plain 3060 and the plan 6600 already around 1080 performance? Predictions for the 3050 I've seen have it around 1660 TI which is less than 1070 performance. Still a good 20-30% faster than the 6500XT plus 8GB.

Hmm yeah, hopefully DLSS will make the difference up :/

So my day one release Sapphire rx480 8gb Nitro+ can clock above an rx580 (just using autoOC in the driver) and the rx580 is roughly the same speed as this card. Does this mean I have a 5 year old next gen card then? Definitely confirms my belief there is no point in replace it yet. The GPU market is just stupid.
    Trust

    Laptop : Dell Inspiron 1545 with Ryzen 5500u, 16gb and 256 NVMe, Windows 11.

If the 3050 does come with 8Gb then its a winner all round, even more so if that £239 is accurate..

3050 compared to the 6500XT here in 3DMark

    https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-g...lss-raytracing

    3050 is basically a slightly slower 1660Ti with DLSS/RT

The proper replacement for that is the RX6600XT:

Similar sized GPU,although a cheaper memory subsystem and like most sub £400 VRAM stagnation. Although you could argue the RX6700XT is also a proper replacement too.
