    RX6500XT 4GB launching tommorrow at 2pm for £180~£200

OcUK said they will have some at under £200,ie,around £180 I suspect so if you really need a dGPU then you have advance warning. Its expected to be around RX480~RX590 level but with 4GB of VRAM.Will probably perform better in PCI-E 4.0 systems I suspect due to the PCI-E 4X link.

Do I think it is good value - no! But its probably better than a GTX1050TI/GTX1650 at that price.

easy, considering the price of 1650/1660's it HAS to be £300+ :/

    Re: RX6500XT 4GB launching tommorrow at 2pm for £180~£200

Seems poor value compared to previous generations. About the only good thing is the efficiency I guess but even there them going for +1GHz compared to the 5500XT probably kills of the efficiency gains.

However, I was one of those who laughed at the 6600 XT launch prices but with hindsight £330 was probably one of the best value GPU deals recently. Okay, 3060FE drops are close but those on a hard £330 limit 6600Xt at launch prices it was okay. I think it lasted a few hours on OCUK at time - so longer than FE drops but not very long.

I remember the day I dropped £220 on a Geforce 256DDR, it was at that point I decided I would never pay more than ~£250 for a GPU lol...

Have they launched yet, or do we know what time to expect sales to go live?

Edit: Just read somewhere it should be 1pm GMT

    Re: RX6500XT 4GB launching tommorrow at 2pm for £180~£200

It's 2PM according to Gibbo over on OcUK. I only posted the deal so some Hexites who really need a dGPU can at least attempt to get one for under £200.

Gibbo said they will have stock under £200 - but OFC don't know how long it will last for! Ebuyer also tends to be decent in this regard.

BTW,I am not defending the RX6500XT as being great but I suppose its better than a GTX1050TI/GTX1650!

I had a 256 - amazing card for its time.

More recently, I remember scoffing at the "more money than sense idiots" paying £1200 for a 2080ti.

It was, I remember accidentally buying the SDR version, then taking it back and swapping it in the local Game when they did proper hardware..

I certainly wouldn't pay that kinda money for a card, the only reason I got the 3080FE was simply down to the MSRP and having mined more than enough to cover the costs on the 3060Ti that I also got for MSRP, minus the cost of the RX580 on the 3060Ti made it just about bearable, but the mining profits have made it a free upgrade on many levels..

One of my mates didn't even need to mine to get a free card, they just got very lucky buying new cards. Bought an RX5700XT reference model for below RRP from Amazon soon after launch. Sold it for more than they paid for just before the RTX3060TI launch. Bought an RTX3060TI AIB model for just over £400 the day it launched. Used it until summer last year and sold it for a few £100 more when they saw how much they were going for. Used an old HD7850 or HD7870.Then two months later got the RTX3060TI FE from Scan for RRP(same drop as when I got lucky),because they got fedup of how slow the old card was and used it for a while. Then got bored again and wanted to get an RX6600XT(which was slightly above RRP) because they use Linux and sold the RTX3060TI FE. I think the RX6600XT was essentially free.

The funniest thing about it,is they just used to check HUKD for when the deals came up(!). Personally I CBA to go through that!
