yup, was doing 4.2 on air too but go so hot, so i invested in the reserator. Pingu2003 has the same chip, same board (but XE newer/better) and he's at 4.45ghz with his, the J's are awesome clockers.

Remember the buy one get one free dell deal, he got four of them at that and sold 3 at near regular prices.

Xusen - i missed BOGOF unfortunately. Had a haggle with Dell though and got them for a resonable price.

I personally have a problem with considering an 800 quid system "budget", but it's a nice rig. I'm not too impressed with the X850 XT though. For your CPU you'd probably have been just as well off with an X800 XL.

    Case in point: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8540219

What are your X850 XT PE clocks?

Storm - the x850xt pe was only £30 more than the X800XL, no brainer.

It wasnt an £800 system though, it was a £100 upgrade with a 24" TFT and a x800XT PE being the point. The cpu/board/ram cost less than half price by buying second hand, if i hadnt upgraded the cooling, i would have made money.

The X850 was at 580/580 - since doing that ive pushed the card and can do 610/650 now.
