Hi Guys,
Sorry I've been away for a while.
Does anyone know why the option for VDimm just isn't there on my Shuttle SN45g bios? I've tried flashing to the latest bios but it still doesn't appear. Getting very confused now!
Cheers

I own a PC that changes regularly, so I don't bother putting anything in here...
Because if you change VDimm it will instantly kill your PC. I am not joking.
Yeah, I know about that. Apparantly it has been fixed in the latest bios revision. But it seems the fix is to remove the option????

They removed it from the later BIOSes to solve the issue
OCing in a shuttle is just not recommended....
Now, that just isn't true...Originally Posted by HKPolice
actually, ocing seems to work fine, just that I know the ram I have (twinmos with winbond CH-5 chips) loves extra voltage. I have it at 215 at the moment with 2,3,3,11 timings but I know it will do more with extra voltage.
I have a mobile 1500+ chip in it sitting at 1.7ghz on 1.45v so it runs nice and quiet and still performs all the timeslipping wizardry of ATi's Multimedia centre, fed by the ATi radeon 8500dv AIW, passivly cooled with a Zalman ZM17-cu and overclocked (250/210).
I'm considering buying a shuttle for my main system now. I think they are excellent.

Requires a bit of soldering but you can put as many volts through your RAM with no problems with this beauty of a mod.
To, be honest. That's a bit extreme for me. I'm not too good with the old soldering iron and would probably mess it up. Is there no way to increase voltage on a V2 board from bios? Without killing the board that is!
