Dont know how well the shuttles oc. mainly because no-one really oc's them.

    Regarding dual slot cards

The X850 series and the 6800 ultra are the only ones worth considering.

Im happy to overclock if explained how to do it. I dont wanna do hardcore overclcoking but its looks like the 3000 isnt hardcore overclock.... The 754 does look cheap and stuff but i jsut cant bring myself to buying a mobo that will be outa date soon.I will most deff go with a 939 board. The thing i will only have a 900 budget when i build my rig. But i will have constant income coming in after that. Because i have only jsut got a part time job. So it will be possible to buy extra bits in a few months or so. I jsut dont wanna splash 250 quid on a 3500 venice when i can spend 85 on a 3000 venice and overclock it to same speed with little effort. 6800 ultra and x850 dont seem worth it for the money. Wot are the pros and cons from buying for the US. Cause it could be a compltly different all game if its possible with little risk,

Not sure about buying from the us.

Thing about buying a 754 is that the processor and mobo cost say 180 quid together. Just the equivelent processor on s939 costs £250 quid. That is why its good ecomomy.

You can get a new mobo when you upgrade and still be up.

This power will easily last you untill the new socket M2 comes out. You see everything goes out of date soon in the pc world.

Im going to with the 939, just cause i wanna . Its only 70 quid more . Plus i dont think i will be bothered to upgrade to M2 socket comes out. Cause thats going to be a while, and like the pci-e graphics cards it took ages for people to actually buy em cause they were "new". If down the line i wanna buy a new cpu or something then i can without having to buy a new mobo aswell. What would u recommend for me, and it doesnt have to be a shuttle now. remember 939 , and if i can easily overclock a cpu to save cash then a will, but none of this hardcore overclcoks as im relativly inexperienced. im thinking x800 xt or xl, as its looks a better option than the slightly more expensive and bigger 6800GT.

    Thanks mate

    okay.

I'd go with a 3200 cos its got a 10x multiplier which is useful for overclocking.

As for the case, see my previous suggestions. If you want to stick with one socket and not change mobo's then I would get a shuttle

As for the gpu, you will have to see whats availiable at what price.

there are loads of other threads where they have this discussion, check em out. Let me know what you decide.

The shuttle should be able to handle decent overclocks. It probably wont be able to handle the type that hexus were going on about. youd need a tower for that.

you can only get a venice 3200+
