They come with a "lifetime warranty" - anyone know how to take advantage of this ?
There is a number to ring, i just don't know what it is, anyone got to to hand ?
Thanks
I'd be interested in this aswell, can you say free ms mice for life
IIRC "lifetime" isn't actually your lifetime, but the lifetime of that particular product range, so you couldn't replace an old intellimouse with one of the new intellimouse v3's (I think..)

wots wrong cable broke again? happned 3 times a week on my old intellimouse (free with pc ages ago).
ms mouses use crappy easy to break cables, which are the weakest part, (marketing stratagy - mouse breaks, 90% of ppl will just buy a new one!).... get urself a cheap £3 mouse and swap the cables over, itll be better, or atleast cheaper
OR you could get a decent mouse...
this one for example:
http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.p...36c9c4573684d8
and its not expensive either, as it comes with a decent enuf mousemat (technicly its a turd mousemat, but the combination of this mouse and mat is better than a decent optical and the best mat...)
(this mouse does need some mods though to make it good for gaming - mouseskatez and replacement ball from the cheapest mouse u can find (as long as the ball is the white and smooth type, not the black bumpy type, oh and rempber to turn windows mouse accel off again, as the soft turns it back on i thin (the soft is good, u should install it)

i'll be ringing them tomorrow(today) to try and get 3 old dead v1 intelimice replaced with some new ones
maybe i should try that with my old ball intellimouse, they might send me a shiny replacement (well not shiny.. it will be more of a dull matt colour)
where did that phone number come from btw? (incase i need it in the future)
Nar, its not the cable. This did break 2 times in the past, but i manged to "acquire" new offical MS ones so i dont need to worry about thatOriginally posted by |SilentDeath|

Ive had this mouse about 3, maybe 4 years now - Its the first button on the mouse. There is a bit inside which pressed down a push to make switch underneath it, but its been pressed that many times, there is an actual groove in the plastic that presses it, causing it to press twice in some cases, and not at all at others
Thanks da_ging - ill try to give them a ring later
Swapped out an old V1 for a V3 retail pack...sat in the box in the corner with all the rest of the bits that will be my kids PC come xmas. Don't you just love M$, had about half a dozen replacement mice off them and i've never ever bought a new one in my life...Originally posted by Stoo

Pity i sold my PC and have this crappy one with a normal optical mouse
