    Hey dood,

I'm thinking about buying the Shuttle SN95G5 V3 and...

I was wondering, do you have 2 power connector on your 6800GT ? I have the ASUS V9999 GT/TD 256MB and i need to plug 2 molex connectors to it, but i'm wondering if the PSU have enough of those connectors because i need to plug a IDE HD and a DVD Writer too. Plus, there's gonna be a SATA drive too.

Or could i simply use a coupler ?

IIRC, the second power connector is only needed if you're definately going to be overclocking. Perhaps not the best idea in a fully loaded shuttle? I might have to be getting me a 6800GT for my SB61G2 soon, too

How quiet do you find the XFX 6800GT, Gingerninja?

Does soundstorm output dice only over opticals? Or can it do Coax Digital?

It can but only if the motherboard has a connector or header for it I believe.

Well, I got my 6800GT installed today. It's seriously upped my framerates, but I gotta say, it is rather loud compared to the rest of the system.

I might drill some more holes in the side to let more air in, as I think part of the noise is created by a 'whistling effect' where it's trying to suck as much air through a tiny gap as possible.

The noise is not too bad actually. The rear fan makes more noise than anything else, must get that fixed.

On my shuttle I can only output Optical but don't see why it doesn't allow co-axial, maybe on another manufacturers NF2 Ultra MB perhaps.

The DFI board I got came with co-axial so im very pleased with it, works well.

I also have a XFX 6800GT that loves running at ultra speeds. I use rivatuner to set the fan to its lowest whilst in 2D mode and max the fan out whilst in 3D mode.

    Works well

What PSU rating are you running in your shuttle dude?
I'm getting random reboots, so I think I need to up my 250w to 300.

Very much doubt it's the psu m8...the 250 silent X in the shuttle is more like a 450watt psu in desktop

and the 300watt one...god knows but 60 quid thats askign a bit much but meh i might end up with it for my shuttle just for the hell of it =)

and as for the x850 range i not seen any single slot ones which is a shame if any of you spot one for real let us know will ya

Yeah. Ironically, it hasn't actually rebooted since I made that post, LOL. And it's not like I've ben under-using it. Been playing B&W2 on it recently (which is really gfx intensive) and it's running fine! No reboots!
