    3.5" Firewire Hard Drive Enclosure

Recommend me one please, not interested in the Icy Box range because the Firewire controller chips are complete crap.

So, what external enclosures are good? SATA would be nice, but not essential.

The Oxford 911 firewire chipset is one of the best. The problem is most sites that sell enclosures don't tell you which chipsets they use. Megadata do some with the Oxford chipset, Direct USB Store used to have some, they don't state the chipset on most of the ones they sell but you could ask them.

They look good to me, the Oxford chipset was what I was after.

    Thanks
