The set up you have should work fine out the box, systems like that are sold as pre built.
I stand by the faulty motherboard or CPU.

Yeah I'm with Dougal. Lift the lever on the heatsink and gently prise it off. Sorry if it's a stupid quiestion, but you did put thermal paste on didn't you?
i just wish i could get the heatsink off to check the CPU.
Also, i'm sure it's not the Graphics Card or monitor, because the monitor detects the card when the plug is inserted, & asks me to check the connection when it's not connected.
yeah, it had a thermal pad with paste already onOriginally Posted by Jonny
All the monitor does is check for a loop back couple of pins, doesn't matter if the cards connected properly or not.Originally Posted by insanechicken

has anyone ordered from aria.co.uk?
This is where i bought everything from, and i'm now hearing that their returns procedure is a load of c**p, i hope it's nothing i need to send back!
Links nicely in with this.
oh lucky me, lol, i NEVER have any good luck. crossed fingers, toes & everything else i think is in order.Originally Posted by Jonny
to get the heatsink off, try leaving the system turned on for a while. CPU might start warming up (If its working) which will soften the paste making it easier to remove
