Funny thing is my 7200.10 drives seem stable as a rock, good reports from SpeedFan-had 2 of em for about 9 months.
Those who have had a few drives die-do you provide cooling to the drives?

I sent back a faulty Seagate 300GB SATA yesterday, and have just had my received acknowledgement email.
Fingers crossed. Will keep this thread posted with progress.
One thing though - I had no luck whatsoever in DLing Seatools. The Floppy creator is no good as I no longer have a floppy in the system, and the CDROM ISO was all but empty, only a couple of text files and a PDF. Where's the flipping test software ?
Or download Ultimatebootcd
Is it actually okay to return HDD in bubble wrap and a jiffy bag or something along these lines? I don't want to send it off and then have it rejected for not being correctly packaged?
I've always sent mine in a proper box, although the last 2 I put in the same box and did bubble wrap 1 of them but made sure there was a layer of foam separating the drives as described in their RMA email they sent, I also OK'ed that I could do this with the person on Warranty so that I could have argued the toss should there have been a problem. Remember that the reason they put the clear packing instructions is so if you don't abide by their rules then they may reject your RMA claim.
I do not have the original packaging and I cannot get hold of anything that they specify. I cannot find a number on there website from general queries either so I cannot phone them and ask them.
