Motherboard monitor 5
(MBM5)
is the best program to measure temps etc.
BUT, remember that your systemps built in temprature probes arnt exactly accurate, i suggest you invest a little money and get some real temp sensors.
I have an abit board, but can use abit clock without the '3rd eye' pannel. I don't want to have buy any extra hardware tbo.

Also, if prime95 does not really work thre processor that hard (I have been lead to believe that it stressed the CPU almost 100%), what is the ultimate way to bring a CPU to it's knees and make the begger work at it's absolute limit?
S&M will kick you CPU, memory and PSU in the nuts then rip their head off and cr@p down their....you get the idea.....S&M is better than prime 95 for torture testingOriginally Posted by dangerous_dom
Get S&M here or google it - great program
Speedfan does that type of monitoring your after (see above link also) - unsure about MBM5 (I should really get around to getting that)
S&M may sound dodgy - but its a great stress testing tool!!
I was wondering about that, but I didn't want to goodle for "S&M"Originally Posted by kempez815
I've got an Asus motherboard so I normally use the Asus Probe software that comes with it. The thing is, my mate reckons that the temperature sensors used on Asus motherboards aren't up to scratch, and that I can normally add at least 10 degrees to any temperature it comes up with. I really hope he's wrong on this one as this would imply that my processor (Althon 64 3500 Winchester) has been running at some disturbingly high temperatures!
Asus probes are notorious for bad temperature reporting!! Test it with a thermal probeOriginally Posted by GizmoStu
the 3rd eye component is worth the investment TBH.. It reads everything on your mobo and plus it notifies you when u get an email or nudged on MSN..
A sweet piece of hardware if you ask me..
Me want Ultrabook
