    Got 2.6ghz here with 1.6v and the retail HSF - planning on putting it under my water as soon as I backed up all my old system.

    One thing to note - should you remove the IHS you are losing a bit of height on the CPU and regular HSF's will not make proper contact with the core. You will need to modify it so the heatsink drops very slightly or use a block where you bolt it down.

    Dont know if I want to remove the IHS yet - cant really afford a replacement should I mash it up right now.

    Are you sure about that? AFAIK, the 3800+ were all Manchester cores from the get go, but the early 4200+ and 4600+ could have been either Manchester or Toledo cores.

    Eee errr (*makes family fortune error noise*).

    The AMD site itself lists the E4 and E6 cores as possible X2 3800+'s. Manchester and Toledo with crippled half cache cores.

    Mine is also a Toledo despite what CPUZ says.
