What's FEAR?
What's FEAR?
Hmm, strange. I have a Aud2 ZS and I can enable both in game... Though after approx 1/2 hrs play I sometimes get an annoying buzzing sound....Originally Posted by arthurleung

I'm pretty sure it will work with 32bit windows. I should go and have a look if there is new driver for A2ZS. I'm using the very basic one, may be the game didn't pickup the card due to this.Originally Posted by noTHINGface

Funny you should say that, www.whatisfear.comOriginally Posted by Thorsson

BF2 needs 2 Gig as well. That's progress, folks!
Has any site done a hardware analysis on FEAR already? I hope they bring up those map loading issues... by the way, the multiplayer part ROCKS! Altho not as popular as CS:S... but wat the heck, bullet time rulez!
Me want Ultrabook
It doesn't need, it likes. I've seen BF2 run amazingly smoothly on a 2.5Ghz A64 with 1GB.
BF2 is different.. the impact comes during load times into the map.. when everyone that has 2GB already started playing.. ur still waiting in the load screen..Originally Posted by specofdust
Something similar happens with FEAR.. when this part of the map is loaded.. the game will run fine.. but when it loads into a new part of the game.. it chokes like a kid swallowing toffee..

Are software companys linked with hardware companys, makes us spend more money!!!!!!!!!!!
well we know there is money for driver optimisations, so i dont see why not for specs, apart from the fact that by only letting people who have 2GB play it properly they lose a gigantic section of market
Personally I prefer that a game uses more ram to run well than requiring other component upgrades. RAM upgrades are some of the cheapest, simplest, and quickest to carry out, and they also have some of the most carry over benefit to other uses of computers.
I agree that people who've been paying above the odds for premium RAM sticks may be the ones that suffer the most, but in the mainstream world I think it's a good thing that more cheap ram will be better than less, faster ram.
