    Quite fancy this myself - definitely tempted if there was a bit of a 'spend and save' scenario.

    hmm - it may not do quite what I want it to do ( reqwuires a windows client , althougth it is a bit faster than a conventional NAS box. )

    I think an NSLU2 with hacked firmware may be more suitable for me

    yeah i liked the look of the SC101 until i saw the windows only part.

    We actually got one of these in at work literally 10mins ago! All setup and waiting for the next DNS build so it can get an IP.

    So far it seems very nice. The two Hitachi 300GB drives we've got for it went in nicely, set them to CS and connect IDE+Molex and your away!

    guessing itll end up about 0.5TB Lovely NAS for me to play with tomorrow

    Until a cheap one comes out with SMB/CIFS I'll stick with a USB external drive for backing up data.
