Got mine from Scan about 6 weeks ago, can't remember stepping sorry, but does 2.62Ghz currently. Havent even tried to push it further than that as I am happy and dont want to risk getting general system issues (not overly confident with Hypertransport frequencies etc etc) and my RAM runs currently set to '166Mhz' divider in BIOS at about 218 ish Mhz at CAS 2 (it's only Value Select stuff, so again I am happy).
The other issue is that this is all at stock voltage, so am able to run my hsf quietly (which matters to me).
One day I may try to push it further to stem off a CPU upgrade, but today isnt that day.

Just got my opteron 146 oem from Scan CACJE 0604CPAW.
Trying to get some o/c today if possible.
Got my opty 146 from scan today and an asus a8n sli premium mobo - does 2.7Ghz on stock volts out of the box so to speak
Temps are 32 degrees idle

Good job peeps. That's similar to my cabye 0540fmpw Tin Ribs. Mine does 3.1Ghz with 1.45v. Euphoria should certainly be able to hit 3ghz with a tad more voltage.
There great (said in Kelloggs frosties Tony the Tiger voice). I cannot believe that these later chips are still overclocking like mad. I certainly won't recommend any other chip especially bearing in mind how cheap they are.

Yep these new 0604 chips are clocking well. It wasn't prime stable at 2.9Ghz on 1.36V, but managed to get it stable on 1.4v. Up to 3Ghz on 1.48V at the moment and I'm sure its got more but I am now getting memory problems at the moment. I'm not sure whether its a DFI/TCCD problem or not. Still testing
Cheers guys! Guess you're right about the voltage - i'll gradually up it until it gets a little more stable. Chip was getting flaky at 2.8ghz on stock volts. What voltages have you used to get a stable 3ghz? I havent done anything more exotic than just upped the fsb at present, quite impressed with my geil stuff

I got my opty CABYE to 2.9 relatively stable or 2.85 rock solid on the ASROCK dual sata board. (FSB 290 or 285 using the OCWB1 beta bios.) Really tempted to swap out the mobo because I'm sure a little more juice (which the ASROCK can't provide) would take me to a satisfying 3GHz and beyond. The chips are indeed excellent value.

The voltage is the max permissible by the mobo (i.e. 1.45). (I must try the volt mod, which should allow 1.55.) The memory is two sticks of 512Mb Kingmax PC3500. I've had to run at the lowest multiplier, so the ram speed is 190 (380 effective). Timings are 2.5-3-10-3. I think I've been quite lucky because the mem can manage dual channel at 1T no problem. I might try again and see if I can up the mem multi to 5/6, which would give me 237.5, although I suspect I'd have to reduce the timings so I'd prolly see no benefit.
